Project SEARCH Open House Breakfast
High school juniors and seniors with active IEPs and their families are invited to attend an open house to learn more about Project SEARCH on Thursday, December 1, from 8:30-10:00 AM.
The open house/breakfast will be hosted at ProMedica Charles & Virginia Hickman Hospital in the Hickman Conference Room (second floor). Participants will:
- Receive giveaways;
- Learn about Project SEARCH;
- Meet Project SEARCH interns, staff, and hospital mentors; and
- Tour ProMedica Hickman Hospital.

The Lenawee Intermediate School District Project SEARCH Program is a one year, unpaid internship located at ProMedica Charles & Virginia Hickman Hospital. Interns experience three, twelve week internships in a real world job setting working within various departments throughout the hospital. The culmination of the experience includes job development which could lead to employment within the intern’s community. At of the start of the 2022 school year, the Project SEARCH program at ProMedica Hickman Hospital has a job placement rate of 83% with over 30 different business partners that have hired Project SEARCH interns.
