Phase 2 of our BETA Fish Project is now underway, and we are currently in week three. The project is progressing very well, with nearly all of the fish thriving; we have experienced only one early loss, which was handled with care and respect by the students. As part of this phase, students are also completing writing assignments, including heartfelt thank-you letters sent to our generous sponsors.

This week, the Stubnitz Environmental Center was filled with focus, teamwork, and a lot of excitement as students took part in the Ten80 Student Racing Challenge.

Middle school teams from Clinton, Sand Creek, and Tecumseh, along with high school teams from Tecumseh and Sand Creek, spent time problem-solving, making adjustments, and working together in a hands-on experience that brought STEM learning to life.

It was great to see students so engaged, supporting one another, and taking pride in what they built and accomplished.

A big thank you to our LISD team, John Hill, Jackie Murray, and Meggan Callison, for planning and hosting an event that gave students a meaningful opportunity to learn, compete, and grow. And a special thank you to the teachers in each district who prepare their students and make experiences like this part of their learning.

The PBIS Carnival at Porter brought the energy today!

Students jumped into games, showed off their creativity with face painting, and captured the fun at the photobooth. A huge highlight was getting up close with an ambulance and police car, thanks to our amazing partners at the Raisin Township Police and Fire Department.

From start to finish, it was a ton of fun. Days like this are what it’s all about.

Perfect for students who love the outdoors, this camp dives into green careers. Campers will run experiments, use real industry equipment, and work directly with plants while learning about landscaping, science, and sustainability.

Livestock Legends | June 29 | Ages 12–16
From sheep and goats to cattle and rabbits, campers will gain hands-on experience with livestock. They’ll learn animal care, feeding, grooming, and even what judges look for, all leading up to a fun mock livestock show on parent day.

These camps are built for curious minds, hands-on learners, and students ready to explore future careers in a fun and engaging way.

Today, some of our students had the exciting opportunity to visit the City of Adrian Fire Department. We are incredibly thankful to the firefighters and staff who welcomed our students, provided hands-on learning experiences, and gave them the chance to explore the fire trucks, ambulance, and station.

Community connections like this create meaningful moments and help students learn in ways they will never forget.

And while the fire department impressed us all, our students may have stolen the show. Their dramatic performances on the stretchers and in the ambulance were absolutely Oscar-worthy.
