Last week our Marketing & Entrepreneurship students had the chance to learn from the newly rebranded Adrian (formerly Adrian Steel). Their marketing team shared great insights on branding and marketing, and we were able to tour their Adrian, Michigan, facility to see their work in action.
We’re grateful for their time, their knowledge, and their support of our students. Thank you for helping inspire the next generation of marketers!
Natural Resources students traveled to Van Buren State Park and Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery to learn about how the Department of Natural Resources protects our Great Lakes ecosystems.
Happy Veterans Day from the LISD TECH Center!
In collaboration with several programs at the LISD TECH Center and departments across the LISD, Nursing Prep students organized a gift bag drive to honor local veterans. Through this effort, 200 veterans living in area care facilities, receiving services through the Department on Aging, or supported by Visiting Angels received a special gift bag as a token of gratitude for their service.
Over the past two days, Nursing Prep students personally visited local veterans to thank them and celebrate their contributions to our country.
The results are in from the National FFA Convention, and both our Agronomy and Nursery & Landscape teams represented Michigan with excellence!
Agronomy Team — Gold Ranking (Top 10 in the Nation)
Team members: Ella Mishka, Emileigh Johnston, Holly Mitchell, Carson Garrison, and Advisor Matt Hensley.
Holly and Carson earned individual Gold rankings and received their Crop Consultant Advisor certifications.
Ella earned Silver, and Emileigh earned Bronze.
Alternate: Ben Isaly
Nursery & Landscape Team — Silver Ranking
Team members: Myra Parker, Lillian Helinski, Cera LaRatta, Rileigh Hoffman, Alternate Paige Luck, and Advisor Johanna Lentz.
Cera earned Gold individually, while Lillian, Myra, and Rileigh each earned Silver.

College Application Day at the LISD TECH Center is all about preparing students for what comes next.

🚀 Earlier this month, our Accounting, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship students took part in the A2 Tech Trek in Ann Arbor!
They explored Cahoots, a collaborative coworking space for startups, and the Neutral Zone, a youth-driven creative community. Students had the chance to connect with innovative startups, visit exciting company booths, and experience the vibrant energy of Ann Arbor — complete with a delicious lunch downtown and a city tour! 🌆💡

Students from our Accounting and Computer Information Services programs attended the Business Professionals of America Fall Leadership Conference at MSU! They had the opportunity to connect with BPA chapters from across Michigan’s lower peninsula and participate in a variety of engaging leadership and skill-building workshops. 💼📊💻
Students in the Natural Resources program attended a Wildlife Rehabilitation Certification Class in Eaton Rapids this weekend. The class included valuable information on how to rescue wild animals, hands-on laboratory skills, and a visit to Wildside Rehabilitation and Education Center.
Students in the LISD TECH Center Accounting Program are gaining more than just classroom knowledge, they’re earning industry-recognized credentials that give them a competitive edge!
Last year, 19 students earned their Microsoft Excel Associate 365 Certification, demonstrating real-world skills in data organization, analysis, and business communication. Excel is one of the most widely used tools across industries, making this credential a powerful asset for any future career.
