Students from Blissfield and Sand Creek toured the TECH Center today, diving into Education Careers, Automotive Collision Repair and Refinish, and Law Enforcement programs. With TECH Center students leading the way, these young explorers got a taste of what’s possible and their excitement was contagious.

Students in both the AM and PM sessions of our Building Trades program got a unique, hands-on experience during the Mobile Masonry Tour. Thanks to Todd Dailey from Dailey Engineering for bringing this incredible learning opportunity to our campus!
Students had the chance to try out a Masonry Mule, and practice setting and mortaring blocks, giving them a real taste of the trade.

Our students recently visited the Just Build It Expo at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds . This was a hands-on construction industry event showcasing union trades, construction companies, trade schools, and colleges.
They explored real tools, met industry professionals, and got a firsthand look at the many pathways available in the world of skilled trades.

The Natural Resources program at the LISD TECH Center recently joined forces with Legacy Land Conservancy to remove invasive Autumn Olive shrubs at the Sharon Hills Preserve.
LISD Transportation and Special Education programs will operate on a two-hour delay today, Tuesday, September 23. JC/LISD Academy and LISD PREP Academy will operate on a one-hour delay. All morning preschool programs are cancelled for today.
Our Residential Construction students teamed up with Habitat for Humanity of Lenawee County and officially started working on a new build this week.

Students in the Law Enforcement & Corrections program ran 2,977 meters (1.8 miles) in honor of the 2,977 lives lost in the September 11 attacks. They also completed 24 reps or 24-second intervals of various exercises to mark the 24 years since that day.

On Saturday, June 7, a few of our Education Careers students stepped up in a big way—hosting a booth at the Autism Grace of Lenawee Walk.
They planned and led a sensory bottle activity, connecting with more than 70 children throughout the day!
