Last Friday, the Natural Resources classroom had some awesome guest speakers from Michigan Avian Experience come in! They brought a Red-tailed Hawk, a Great Horned Owl, and a Bald Eagle and spoke to the students about raptors/birds of prey species and their special adaptations. The students learned and took an assessment on identifying Michigan birds last week, so this was a great wrap-up for (what we called) Bird Week!

Fun at the LISD TECH Center last week! I spent time looking at mammal bone fragments under the microscope in Biochemical Technology and playing a student-created version of Blackjack in Computer Programming! Not a bad day at the office...

All local districts will be closed on Tuesday, 1/21 and Wednesday, 1/22 due to weather. As a result, all LISD student programs will also be closed (except Project SEARCH and MSC). Buildings will remain open. Stay warm!
