Happy Veterans Day from the LISD TECH Center! In collaboration with several programs at the LISD TECH Center and departments across the LISD, Nursing Prep students organized a gift bag drive to honor local veterans. Through this effort, 200 veterans living in area care facilities, receiving services through the Department on Aging, or supported by Visiting Angels received a special gift bag as a token of gratitude for their service. Over the past two days, Nursing Prep students personally visited local veterans to thank them and celebrate their contributions to our country.

From cutting to sanding to assembly, every piece was built with local hands. Huge thanks to everyone who showed up and made it happen. Today we had the pleasure of welcoming back Hannah Stepp, a former LISD Tech Center student who has built an incredible business for herself in the food industry!

Hannah brought her food truck, Bussin Bowls, and shared not only delicious food, but also her journey, experiences, and advice with our hospitality students. What an inspiring example of where passion, hard work, and dedication can take you!

We are so grateful she took the time to invest in our students, giving them a real-world look at entrepreneurship and the hospitality industry. Thank you, Hannah, for feeding us and fueling our future hospitality professionals!

Manufacturing Week was a huge success across Lenawee County!
Last week, 11 local school districts sent more than 250 students to tour 19 manufacturing companies throughout our region.

These incredible businesses opened their doors, shared their expertise, and even provided lunch to make students feel welcome as they explored future career paths in manufacturing.

A huge thank you to the following companies for inspiring the next generation of makers, builders, and innovators:
Green Manufacturing, Inc | Evonik | General Broach | W2Fuel LLC | PlaneWave Instruments / Observable Space | Adrian Steel | Anderson Development Company | IDIDIT, LLC | Uniloy, Inc | IMI Precision Engineering | Liebherr | Ervin Industries | GLOV Enterprises | CEI Materials | CSP Innovation Manchester | Uckele | Thermalfab Products, Inc | Ross Design Welding & Machining | Axis Engineering (Dundee & Britton)

We also extend our thanks to Lenawee NOW for providing grant funding for the student PPE used during these tours. Their support helped ensure a safe and engaging hands-on experience for all participants.

Your investment in students’ learning and career exploration makes a lasting difference.
