Project SEARCH is hosting Information Night for Lenawee County high school seniors with an IEP on January 29th from 6:00pm - 8:00 at ProMedica Charles & Virginia Hospital.
Reminder that Project SEARCH is a one-year post-secondary employability skills and job development internship program.
83% of Project SEARCH interns find entry level employment, working more than half time and earning more than minimum wage in an integrated setting. However, there are alumni who pursued higher forms of education following Project SEARCH. Holding with tradition, a parent/alumni panel will be present to tell you their stories related to their time with the program.
Attendees will receive a packet with detailed next steps, including application, needed to be invited to participate with Assessment Day on March 11th.
Due to weather-related school closures this week, Project SEARCH will accept RSVPs through January 28.

We are grateful to our staff sponsors who helped make this experience possible and can’t wait to see the connections and growth that come from it.

We’re proud to welcome Amanda Koch as the new Director of the Lenawee County Early College, where she will help expand opportunities and strengthen pathways for students across Lenawee County. Join us in giving her a warm welcome to Lenawee County!
She began her career in education in 2010, teaching middle and high school mathematics in the Grand Rapids and Saginaw areas. In 2016, she transitioned into administration, serving as a Secondary Curriculum Coach and Coordinator at Saginaw Public Schools, where she focused on mathematics and science content and mentored new teachers.
In fall 2022, she joined the Saginaw Intermediate School District as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Consultant. In this role, she supported special populations, developed and led professional development, assisted with state reporting and compliance, supported dual enrollment and early college coordination, led recruitment efforts for CTE programs, and helped advance county-wide CTE initiatives. In addition to her professional work, she has coached middle school through varsity-level softball and volleyball.
Originally from Auburn, she attended Bay City Western High School and the Bay-Arenac Career Center, where she earned cosmetology licensure, which she continues to maintain. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Saginaw Valley State University (2009) and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Michigan (2013).
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and exploring new places, with a goal of visiting all 50 states. She also values time with family and friends, participates in sports and outdoor activities, and enjoys playing the piano.

Learning is underway, routines are rolling, and we’re excited to be back with students and staff!

As 2025 comes to a close, we want to thank our entire community for a year filled with learning, growth, and connection. Your support and collaboration make a difference every day.
We look forward to continuing this work together in 2026.
