LISD TECH Center Welding students, Miranda Jenks and Elijah Rupp, from Blissfield High School, volunteered their time to present at the Blissfield Elementary career fair. They educated the students about welding safety and career opportunities. The presentation included a basic explanation of welding, a display of their welding uniforms and safety gear (such as jackets, gloves, steel-toe boots, and helmets), a hands-on display of welded objects for the students to examine, and a discussion on the various industries where welders can work.

From catapulting ping-pong balls across the room to building bridges out of straws, students were having a blast today at the Tri-County Elementary Science Olympiad. There was a ton of energy from the thrill of competition, the joy of teamwork and the chance to explore a new science challenge.
