Meet Danielle Lee-Sisty, Special Education Social Worker, who is featured @LenaweeISD Staff Spotlight this week. Danielle specializes in supporting the growth of some of our youngest students and the development of their social skills.
After 35 years of dedicated service to education in Lenawee County—18 of them at the Lenawee Intermediate School District—Brian Jones is retiring. His leadership has shaped systems, empowered teams, and built a culture rooted in relationships and trust.
From implementation science to curriculum development, Brian’s work has had a lasting impact across every district in our county. As Superintendent Mark Haag shared, “Brian reminded us that schools must not be person-dependent but resilient enough to thrive through transitions.”
His legacy lives on in the people and programs he helped grow.

The On My Way group visited The Spotted Cow today—using their communication devices to order ice cream and toppings with pride! 🍦💬 Watching students express themselves independently (hello, “sprinkles!”) was a powerful moment for families and staff alike. Huge thanks to The Spotted Cow team for creating such a welcoming space for inclusive communication! These iPads, equipped with the LAMP Words for Life app, help turn thoughts into words for students developing speech.
