Behind every service member is a family making sacrifices too. 💙
Today, Mikayla Cole and her daughter were honored as WJR Radio’s Christmas On Us Military Family, sharing their story during a LIVE broadcast and reflecting on their family and Mikayla’s husband, Clayton Cole, who is currently serving in the U.S. Military.
We are so thankful to WJR for highlighting one of our own and for recognizing the families who serve alongside their loved ones every single day. Our hearts are full of gratitude this holiday season. 🎄🇺🇸

Strong schools start with strong conversations.
Today’s Legislative Breakfast brought together Lenawee County superintendents, school board members, and state legislators to talk openly about education policy and its impact on students and schools across Michigan.
We appreciate Senators Jeff Irwin and Joe Bellino, Representatives Nancy Jenkins-Arno and William Bruck, and Legislative Liaisons Annie Monawek and Jerry Johnson for taking the time to listen, engage, and connect with local education leaders.

Seventy-five kids in Lenawee County walked into Meijer with a hero by their side and walked out with something far bigger than toys. They found connection. They found kindness. They found adults who showed up for them simply because they matter. This year’s Shop with a Hero event brought police officers, firefighters, EMS teams, college athletes, and community volunteers together to give local kids a night they will never forget. And thanks to Meijer’s commitment to serving the youth in our community, these moments were possible. One student looked up at his hero and said, “I don’t want this night to end.” And honestly, neither did we.
Read the full story behind the smiles, the planning, the generosity, and the incredible people who make this happen each year.
