Today at Career Exploration Camps, one group geared up to fight fires while another launched their handmade boats to see if they’d sink or sail. Spoiler alert: some floated like pros... others? Well, let’s just say we learned a lot about redesign. 😅

From fake injuries that looked way too real 🩹 to real-life sheep getting stylish summer cuts ✂️🐑—today at Career Exploration Camps had it all!
We caught students flying drones they built and trained, coloring their feelings, exploring prehistoric habitats, and getting hands-on with science (yes, there was slime 🧪). The cardboard boats? They're shaping up to be seaworthy masterpieces—we’ll see if they float on Friday... stay tuned for the splash! 🚤💦

Meet Danielle Lee-Sisty, Special Education Social Worker, who is featured @LenaweeISD Staff Spotlight this week. Danielle specializes in supporting the growth of some of our youngest students and the development of their social skills.
After 35 years of dedicated service to education in Lenawee County—18 of them at the Lenawee Intermediate School District—Brian Jones is retiring. His leadership has shaped systems, empowered teams, and built a culture rooted in relationships and trust.
From implementation science to curriculum development, Brian’s work has had a lasting impact across every district in our county. As Superintendent Mark Haag shared, “Brian reminded us that schools must not be person-dependent but resilient enough to thrive through transitions.”
His legacy lives on in the people and programs he helped grow.
