Adrian, MI – The Lenawee Intermediate School District (LISD) TECH Center celebrated a proud milestone as 26 seniors in the Education Careers program officially signed commitments to continue their journeys toward careers in education and working with youth. This celebration coincides with a statewide initiative—Michigan’s Day for Education (#MIDay4ED)—honoring students across the state who are stepping into the field of education.
The effort, supported by Educators Rising Michigan, Michigan FCCLA, Michigan Educational Careers Association (MECA), Future Proud Michigan Educator LAUNCH, and EXPLORE, represents a unified commitment to developing Michigan’s teacher pipeline. With a growing national teacher shortage, these programs aim to spotlight the importance of nurturing future educators and leaders.
During the celebration, many students wore attire representing either their future educational institutions or their current high schools, symbolizing the transition from learners to leaders. Each student also received a Letter of Intent and virtual background from Educators Rising Michigan and Michigan FCCLA to mark the occasion.
