Adrian, MI – The Lenawee County Reading Clinic (LCRC), hosted by the Lenawee Intermediate School District (LISD), is excited to offer a free summer tutoring program for Lenawee County students exiting kindergarten through second grade who would benefit from extra support in reading.
As part of an intensive summer professional learning initiative, local educators will participate in eight sessions focused on the latest research in reading instruction. These educators will then apply what they’ve learned to provide targeted tutoring during a five-day program held June 18 and June 23–26 at the Porter Education Center (2946 Sutton Rd., Adrian, MI 49221).
This free, five-session tutoring program is open to all interested families and is designed to help students strengthen their reading skills and build confidence using research-based intervention techniques. Space is limited, and participants must be able to attend all five sessions and provide their own transportation.
Tutoring will take place during one of two time slots: 8:30–9:30 AM or 9:30–10:30 AM. Final time assignments will be made after applications are reviewed, so families should plan to be available for either.
Applications are due by May 23, 2025, and families will be notified of their child’s placement in the program by May 30.
