Welcome to LISD Transportation

The LISD Special Education Transportation Department operates a fleet of 17 school buses daily. These buses travel a network of over 47 runs a day covering more than 750 square miles, transporting over 300 students to and from school.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide safe, prompt, and efficient service for all students while supporting the district educational mission.

The LISD Special Education Transportation Department operates a fleet of 17 school buses daily. These buses travel a network of over 47 runs a day covering more than 750 square miles, transporting over 300 students to and from school. LISD buses travel over 500,000 miles every year, which is equal to about 80 round trips between New York and Los Angeles.

The mission of the Lenawee Intermediate School District (LISD) is to prepare people to function effectively in a changing world by providing and coordinating quality education opportunities and support services, innovatively and responsively, in partnership with our communities.
