HLM MSC Student Programs
Hillsdale-Lenawee-Monroe Mathematics & Science Center (HLM M/S Center) offers standards-based students programs to improve and enhance mathematics and science learning, while integrating technology use. Current student programs offered by the Center incorporate student project-based learning and team problem-solving competition.
Tri-County Science and Technology Fair
Tuesday-Thursday, February 13, 14, 15, 2018 at Adrian College Students who are in grades 5th-12th are eligible to participate in this project-based learning science competition. Using the scientific method to form a hypothesis and answer a question, students will report data and explain their project on a tri-fold display board.
Registrations are due Jan. 18, 2018! No late registrations will be accepted.

Tri-County Elementary Science Olympiad
Tuesday, March 6, 2018, Siena Heights University Student teams in 3rd-5th grades are eligible to participate in this science competition. The Elementary Science Olympiad encourages group learning by participation in team events, where students are challenged to think creatively to solve problems and answer questions.
Registrations are due Feb. 9, 2018! No late registrations will be accepted.
Tri-County Elementary Science Olympiad/STEM Challenge coaches’ meeting will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. OR Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Lenawee ISD William J. Ross Education Service Center, 4107 N. Adrian Hwy., Adrian, MI 49221. Coaches will gain clarification on TCESO events and have the opportunity to ask questions and share practice tips at this informal coaches meeting.
