LISD Stubnitz Environmental Education Program Family Fall Harvest Celebration, November 4, 2017

The Family Fall Celebration is Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m..  The celebration is a FREE family friendly event that promotes environmental education and nature.  Sponsors will be acknowledged on this date along with a full event schedule that includes: two live animal programs, nature themed art demonstrations by local artists, kids’ crafts and activities, guided trail hikes, and refreshments.  This is an exciting opportunity to enjoy and acknowledge environmental and art endeavors here at the LISD and in our community. 

Schedule of Events:

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.          Nature Art Demonstrations – various local artists
                                              Nature Kids Crafts – Stubnitz staff and volunteers

10:00 a.m.                            Guided Bird Hike– lead by Nathan McNett

10:45 a.m. -11:45 a.m.         Classroom Critters- Paul McCormack’s live animal program

12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.       Nature Photography – lead by Samantha McNett

12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.         Night Creatures – live animal program featuring a variety of nocturnal animals
