Meet Kathy Beyer, Amanda Davis, Courtney Williams, and Cindy Farmer, the October 2017 recipients of the STAFF OF THE MONTH AWARD.
This team has put in countless hours beyond their regular hours during the past several months to ensure that newly hired staff were able to begin the new 2017-2018 school year. Their dedication included having individuals complete the new hire process and assisting the local districts with fingerprinting to ensure they would have their new staff ready for the 2017-2018 school year. The process for a new hire is timely, including an orientation, paperwork, reviewing insurance options, fingerprinting, and having their photo taken for the identification badge, etc. The process does not stop after meeting with new employees, there is processing of all the information, ensuring that staff are cleared to begin work, communicating to payroll, enrolling in insurance, making sure their identification badge is ready to be used, etc. The new hire process represents a fraction of the total job responsibility that this group handles each and every day.
This group of individuals quietly goes about their work, happy to do their very best, not seeking recognition from anyone for all of their hard work. In the past year, this group has ensured that over 75 newly hired staff were ready to begin their new career with the LISD. This group models the core values of the LISD Purpose: that service is the fundamental reason the LISD exists, and the LISD is an inspiring organization in the delivery of its services. This group also models the LISD Mission through the meaningful relationships developed with each new staff person, walking side-by-side with our personalized service.
Congratulations Kathy, Amanda, Courtney, and Cindy for your outstanding contribution to the Lenawee Intermediate School District, which led to your selection for this award.
