The Michigan Learns Online portal was developed to collect and share resources related to online learning and teaching. The portal contains links and resources for Administrators, Teachers, Parents and Students.
Another goal of the Michigan Learns Online Portal is to be a place where teacher tested online learning materials can be shared. The project is looking for Michigan teachers who have developed online learning lessons, units or courses and would like to share them with fellow educators. The REMC Association is coordinating the effort to collect these online learning materials. There are two ways for teachers to contribute lessons and expertise:
Share, through posting on the Portal, a course, lesson or unit that has been developed locally and is in use. The material will be reviewed for copyright, district permission, and it will need a Creative Commons license.
Submit an online course, lesson or unit that has been developed locally and is in use and agree to align it to the Portal Rubrics and make supportive material available.
Contributing teachers, who revise their materials as necessary to meet the submission criteria, align the materials to the Michigan content expectations and provide supportive information may be eligible for compensation. Educators who are interested in contributing content or have further questions can contact Mike Souden, Michigan Learns Online Portal Project Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
