Student scholarships represent the LCEF’s single largest area of student support. In 2017, the LCEF awarded $578,000 through 412 separate student scholarships. Student scholarships provide Lenawee County students and families with financial support that assists them in pursuing higher education. Scholarship eligibility varies and is generally established by the donor.

Ronald Reeves Job Readiness Training Grant

The Lenawee County Education Foundation (LCEF) announces a new grant available to Lenawee County residents seeking to obtain training for a job or bettering their current job or obtaining a General Education Degree (GED). The grant, titled the Ronald Reeves Job Readiness Training Grant, will cover up to half the cost of the course work, not to exceed $1000. Grant applicants must be a high school graduate or completing their GED and must be a resident of Lenawee County.

This grant must be used toward the completion of post-secondary training or a GED. This training must take place at an accredited or certified trades or vocational education program. The grant is an annual reward and may be reapplied for each year.

If awarded a grant, recipients are encouraged to participate in the annual scholarship reception, where all recipients will be publicly recognized. There is no deadline to apply for the Job Readiness Training Grant, and applications are continually reviewed and awarded periodically throughout the year. The Brittain Michigan State University Scholarship

The Brittain Scholarship at Michigan State University was generously established by Allan and Julie Brittain of Adrian to provide educational opportunities for talented students from Lenawee County who enroll at MSU. In giving back to their alma mater, the Brittains hope that this award will enable recipients to be a part of MSU’s enriched academic and social experience in an environment that fosters active, innovative learning. MIS Cares Scholarship

MIS Cares is hoping to make it a little easier for five Jackson and Lenawee County students taking the next step in furthering education by offering scholarships.. As part of an ongoing initiative to promote learning among students at all educational levels, MIS Cares will award $1,000 scholarships to five deserving high school seniors in 2018. Elizabeth Ruthruff Wilson Summer Camp Scholarships

This scholarship is for elementary, middle, and high school students in Lenawee County who plan on attending camps relating to music or the performing arts. To apply, please visit the Elizabeth Wilson Scholarships page.
