What We Do

The Lenawee County Education Foundation provides support to Lenawee County students, families and schools through the provision of scholarships, teacher mini-grants and financial support and fund development services to educational programs and projects.

The activities of the LCEF are meant to serve one ultimate purpose, advance the well-being of Lenawee County students and families through the provision of financial support to the attainment of high quality education.

The LCEF supports these programs through various fund development efforts, including individual and family solicitation, corporate solicitation, capital campaigns and special event fundraisers. Fund development strategies are the collective responsibilities of the LCEF Board of Trustees, LCEF Executive Director and various project committees.

The LCEF is the educational foundation for the Lenawee Intermediate School District (LISD). The LISD is Lenawee County’s regional education service provider, providing educational support services to Lenawee County’s 11 public school districts. The LISD provides educational programming ranging from early childhood programs to adult education. Through the LCEF, the LISD is able to solicit grant funding and corporate and individual donations for LISD sponsored programs. The LISD Superintendent and LISD Office of Grants and Development are responsible for these efforts.
