The Lenawee Intermediate School District (LISD) is a regional educational service agency providing educational leadership and support services to Lenawee County’s 11 public local school districts.

The mission of the Lenawee Intermediate School District is to prepare people to function effectively in a changing world by providing and coordinating quality education opportunities and support services, innovatively and responsively, in partnership with our communities. Each student is the reason the LISD exists

Our Customers

The Lenawee Intermediate School District provides educational services in support of a wide array of individuals and organizations. Some of our many customers include:

-There are 11 public school districts (Addison, Adrian, Blissfield, Britton Deerfield, Clinton, Hudson, Madison, Morenci, Onsted, Sand Creek, Tecumseh) that provided educational opportunities for 15,349 during the 2015-2016 school year.

-There is one public school academy in Lenawee County, LifeTech Academy.

-There are five private schools in Lenawee County, educating 786 students during the 2015-2016 school year.

-The number of homeschool students in Lenawee County for 2015-2016 is unknown, as only those who wish to report for access to services from public schools.

-The Lenawee Intermediate School District offers programs and educational settings for our county students receiving special educational services, vocational opportunities, and early college learning.
